Mary Lewis, 103, passed away, Friday, May 16, 2014 and Payton Place Inc. in Blue Springs, MO. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church 10017 E. 36th Terr. Independence, MO 64052. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Mary was born October 21, 1910 in Kansas City, KS to Mykita and Margaret (Jalenski) Krykla and has been a lifelong area resident. She had worked as a billing agent for Montgomery Wards and Sears until her retirement in 1975. She enjoyed yard work and was a member of the Ho9ly Cross Catholic Church. She was married to Russell Lewis in 1935; he preceded her in death in August 1962. Survivors include; a son, Russell Lewis and wife Maxine of Grain Valley, MO; 2 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Ronald Lewis in 1961 2 sisters, Ann and Stella and a brother Steve.
