Linda Elaine Brosam, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2024, in Blue Springs, Missouri, leaving behind a legacy of love and creativity that will never be forgotten. Born on April 16, 1944, in Independence, Missouri, she embraced life with an infectious enthusiasm that touched the hearts of everyone around her. A proud graduate of Fort Osage High School, she built a career as clerical staff at Shook, Hardy, and Bacon, L.L.P., where her dedication and hard work were a testament to her character.
Linda was known for her warmth and kindness, qualities that resonated with all who knew her. She had a deep passion for crafting, often found creating new treasures while crocheting. Her love for reading, especially romance novels, was rivaled only by her adventurous spirit, which carried her on memorable travels to beautiful destinations such as Greece and Mexico, where she enjoyed the sights from the decks of cruise ships.
Her family was the cornerstone of her life. She is survived by her beloved children, Kent and Mary Brosam, Eric and Kim Brosam, and Hans Brosam alongside his fiancé, Jakie Noonan. Linda was a cherished grandmother to three grandchildren, Tessa, James, and Veronica, who adored her and will carry forth her spirit of creativity and love. She also held her sister, Brenda Sims, close to her heart, and their bond was a source of great strength throughout her life.
Linda was preceded in death by her devoted parents, Alfred Lewis Lauck and Ruby Pearl (Ahring) Lauck. Their nurturing spirit played an integral role in shaping the remarkable woman she became.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Linda’s life on December 23, 2024, at the Speaks Buckner Chapel in Buckner, Missouri. The day will begin with a visitation at 9:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM. She will then be laid to rest at Buckner Hill Cemetery following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made in Linda’s memory to the Fort Osage Alumni Association.
Linda Elaine Brosam's life was a testament to the beauty of family, the joy of crafting, and the excitement of exploration. Her legacy will forever be remembered in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return.
