Linda Gale Klett, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away on October 13, 2023, in the comfort of her home in Independence, MO. She was born on October 12, 1947, in Bloomington, Minnesota to Millard and Edith "Dolly" Norris.
Linda had a fulfilling career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and a home healthcare aide. Her dedication to caring for others was unmatched. Linda's compassionate nature shone through in every interaction she had with her patients. Her kindness and selflessness touched the lives of many.
Outside of her professional life, Linda enjoyed pursuing various interests and hobbies. She loved dancing and it was through this passion that she met her husband, Merle Klett. Linda also found joy in traveling and exploring new places. Her most cherished memories were from her trips to Hawaii.
In addition to dancing and traveling, Linda had a deep appreciation for outdoor activities. She enjoyed watching softball and the thrill of the game. One of her favorite activities was horseback riding. Linda had a deep love for horses.
Linda is survived by her loving husband Merle Klett; her children Darrin Hicks, Shannon Hicks, Anthony "Tony" Hicks, and Robert Cook; sister Kathy Norris; sister Blanche Mesteth; brother John Norris; and half-brother Scott Norris. Although she is no longer with us physically, Linda's memory will forever be held close to the hearts of her family and friends.
To honor Linda's life, a visitation will be held on October 24, 2023, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, MO. A graveside service will take place at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO on October 26, 2023, starting at 10:00 am.
Linda Gale Klett's vibrant presence and loving nature will be deeply missed. She has left behind a legacy of compassion, joy, and unwavering love. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
