Linda May Williams, a cherished Grammie, mother, sister, friend, and colleague, departed this world on February 27, 2024, at the age of 81 in Independence, Missouri. Born on May 19, 1942, in Kansas City, Missouri, Linda's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, dedication, and a vibrant spirit.
In her professional journey, Linda dedicated her career to working in human resources for Jackson County before embracing a well-deserved retirement. Her commitment to supporting others throughout her tenure has left a lasting impact on those who had the pleasure of knowing and working with her.
Beyond her professional life, Linda found joy in a kaleidoscope of hobbies and interests that reflected her unique personality. Whether scouring thrift stores, immersing herself in the timeless melodies of Elvis Presley, reveling in the color purple, exploring true crime stories, showering love upon her beloved fur babies, or collecting cookbooks for the joy of reading – Linda's eclectic passions painted a picture of a life well-lived.
Yet, amid all her achievements, Linda's greatest source of pride was her family. Her adoration for her loved ones knew no bounds, and her true happiness lay in their company. Linda's legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of her surviving family members.
A Celebration of Life Visitation event will be held on March 9th, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Missouri, to honor and celebrate the beautiful memories Linda created during her lifetime.
