Elsie Myrtle Lindsay

Elsie Myrtle Lindsay, 77, of Independence, MO, passed away, Saturday, January 8, 2005 at Independence Regional Health Center. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at the Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday evening, January 11, 2005 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Indep. Mo. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Elsie was born November 26, 1927 in Kansas City, MO to Thomas and Hazel (White) Shepherd. She was a lifelong resident of the Kansas City area. She worked as a mother and homemaker and enjoyed helping others in need. She was a member of the 15th Street Baptist Church. She married Robert E. Lindsay on October 9, 1944; he passed away on March 8, 1998. Survivors include; a son, Tommie Lindsay of Kingsville, MO; 2 daughters, Connie Wilson of Lee�s Summit, MO and Judy Crawford of Fayetteville, AR; a sister, Evelyn Vossler of Gladstone, MO; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
