Robert Lindsey

Robert “Bob” Lindsey, 72, of Grain Valley, MO passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016. A memorial visitation will be held from 1-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. Bob was born on October 19, 1943 in Harrison County, MO to Nathan and Geneva Lindsey. He worked for over 20 years managing the construction of agricultural equipment at Allis Chalmers. Outside of work he enjoyed the outdoors, riding and training horses. He was a true cowboy at heart! Bob was a member of the Elks Lodge # 2509 and Sons of American Legion #0499. He will be remembered by his children Matt and wife Tasha Lindsey of Oak Grove, MO, Kristin Poppe of Lees Summit, MO; step mother JoAnn Lindsey of Windsor, MO; sister Sandra Hensely and husband Bill of Liberty, MO; Niece Lisa Blanchard and husband Rich of Denver, CO; nephew Major Charles Hensley of the United States Army and wife Wendy stationed in Pearland, TX; grandchildren Jordan Arnone, Jacob Stanley, Bailee Lindsey, Kyleigh Lindsey, Matthew Lindsey and Sydney Poppe. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Roger Lindsey. The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Heartland Hospice.
