Eva Mae Linn, 61, of Independence, MO, passed away, Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at a local hospital after a long battle with cancer. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2005 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Graveside services will be 4:00 p.m., Saturday at the Seymour Masonic Cemetery in Seymour, MO. The family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Friday evening at the chapel. Eva was born November 4, 1943 in Seymour, MO to Luther and Cornelia Highfill. She grew up in Seymour and graduated high school there in 1961. She was a graduate of South West Baptist University in Bolivar, and has spent her entire working career in the banking industry, over 21 years with Empire Bank in Springfield, and completed her career with Bank of America in Kansas City, MO. She was a very active member of the County Meadows Baptist Church. She enjoyed farming and camping. She was married to Clarence Ancil Linn on March 10, 1990, he survives of the home. Other survivors include; 2 sons, John Young and wife Jetta of Princeton, MO and Lance Linn and his wife Melissa of Peculiar, MO; 6 grandchildren, William, Kathleen, Benjamin and Christy Young of Princeton, Ryanne and Riley Linn of Peculiar, MO; and a sister, Kay Looney of Quinlan, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Deva Steinhouer.
