Sharon Louise Linnenbringer, 68, of Pleasant Hill, MO passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018. A visitation will be held from 9-10am on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. A Celebration of Her Life will begin at 10am at the chapel.
Sharon was born on August 25, 1950 in St. Joseph, MO to Walter Evans, Jr. and Martha Lou (Hickman) Evans. After graduating from Blue Springs High School, she married Raymond Linnenbringer, Sr. Together they raised two children. Starting at an early age Sharon had a passion for teaching. After marriage and family, she expanded her schooling earning a bachelor’s from CMSU and a master’s from UMKC. Most of her years she taught in the Blue Springs School District. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, reading, and gardening. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of St Luke’s United Church of Christ, PEO Sisterhood, and Lee’s Summit Quilters’ Guild.
Her survivors include her husband Ray Linnenbringer, Sr. of Pleasant Hill, MO; son Ray Linnenbringer, Jr. of Pleasant Hill, MO; daughter Amy Sawyer and husband Wes of Wichita, KS; 4 brothers; 1 sister, grandchildren Dalton and Aubrey Linnenbringer, Jessica and Drake Sawyer; plus several other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to National Aphasia Association.
