Malcolm Linville 81, of Kansas City, MO passed away March 3, 2017. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, April, 29, 2017 at Forest Hill Cemetery, 6901 Troost Ave, KC, MO 64131. Mal was born on March 30, 1935 in Kansas City, MO to Malcolm Sr. and Maebell (Reimert) Linville. He attended William Rockhill Nelson Elementary School, Southwest High School, and graduated from the University of Kansas City with BA and MA degrees. He then attended UMKC where he earned his PhD in Counseling in 1974. Malcolm‘s career teaching started at UMKC where he taught from 1969 to 2017. He was a Public School Educator, School Counselor, and School Psychologist, and taught Counseling and Psychology, with Life Certifications in Psychology, Licensed Professional Counseling, Professional Clinical Counseling, and Fellow ACFEI, NBCC. Mal served in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam War. He ran as a Candidate at large for the KC Missouri, Board of Education in 1975. He was married 15 years to Duana Linville and they had two children Douglas Linville and Deborah Arnswald. Other survivors include sister Nedra Martz and sister Chrisalyn Phillips. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be sent to the Mal Linville Memorial Fund at the UMKC School of Education,
