Lisa Suzanne Scovel

Lisa Suzanne Scovel, 66 of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Research Medical Center. Lisa passed away from injuries received in a house fire after she assisted her husband and sons to safety. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Lisa was born June 14, 1958 in Kansas City, Mo to Kay Lynn and Donna Dean (Weiss) Sanders and has been a lifelong area resident. Lisa was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed gardening and watching true crime stories. She was a member of the LDS Stake Center Church. She is survived by; her husband, Steve Scovel, 2 sons, Eric Scovel and Clint Scovel all of the home; 2 brothers, David Scovel of Lawrence, KS and Phillip Scovel of Leawood, KS.
