Pamela Delores Litton (Hodges) went home to Jesus on September 6, 2021 at age 71. Pamela was born to Charles E. Hodges and Martha Lee Gilliham on February 18, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the youngest child of four. She had two brothers (Charles “Phill” Hodges, and Daryl Elton Hodges) and one sister Bonnita Jean Hodges She was preceded in death by both of her biological parents. Charles E. Hodges and Martha Lee Hodges; all three of her older siblings Phill, Daryl, Bonnita, and her step-mother Mildred Hodges.
Pamela is survived by all three of her children; Angelo Vincent Shepard, Glen Anthony Shepard, Athena Nicole Brookshire; all six of her grandchildren Jessica Loriane Figgins, Dakota Lee Michael Hall, Housten Michael Menteer, John Christopher Keeney, Heyden Anthony Michael Menteer, Annalysia Renee Nicole Mendoza, her three great grandchildren Kyle Lee Gloria III, Brayden Avrey Gloria, Aurora Rae Michelle Shelton, and many other extended family members and close friends.
Pamela was a loving and Godly caretaker by both choice and profession. She was raised in the church and had a strong faith and a very close relationship with God up to her final moments in her earthly body. Pamela will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.
A visitation to honor Pamela will take place on Sunday, September 12, 2021, from 5-7:00 p.m., with a service the following day, Monday, September 13, at 11:00 a.m., both at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, at 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. The service will be livestreamed via the Speaks Chapels page for those who would like to virtually attend Pamela's service. Pamela will be laid to rest at Mount Washington Cemetery in Independence, MO. Flowers, donations, and condolences may be offered and sent to Carson-Speaks funeral home.
