Betty J. Lobb, beloved mother and grandmother, 92, of Independence, MO, passed away Feb. 9, 2014 surrounded by her family. Services will be at 10 am, Thursday, Feb. 13 at Carson-Speaks Chapel., 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052 followed by a committal service at 1 pm at McLouth Cemetery, McLouth, KS. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Wed. at the chapel. She had a career in food service and over the years worked at Safeway, Heflin’s United Super, Zarda Dairy and Kay’s Café. Betty delivered Meals On Wheels in Independence for the last ten years. She was preceded in death by her husband Merlin C. Lobb. She is survived by son James Lobb and wife Bev; daughters Donna Frisbey and husband Ken; Nancy Galvan and husband Damian; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
