Deborah Locke Johnson, 58, passed away on September 13, 2017.
A memorial service will be Sat., Sept. 16, at 4pm, at Community of Christ, 800 W. South St. in Harrisonville. Private inurnment in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens will take place at a later date. Contributions may be made to the family in lieu of flowers.
Debby was born on May 26, 1959, in Independence, MO, to George Delbert Locke and Patricia Cuny Locke. She graduated from Harrisonville High School in the class of 1977. Debby was a project manager for Sprint at the Overland Park campus for over 22 years. She was also a long-time member of the Community of Christ in Harrisonville.
Debby was an outstanding wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She saw the good in everyone, and instantly considered strangers as family. She was a trivia wizard, and an excellent seamstress and craft-maker. She particularly enjoyed traveling across the country in the sidecar of the motorcycle with her husband, Garry.
Debby is survived by her husband, Garry, with whom she just celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary; four daughters, Stephanie Chichuk, Tiffany Chichuk, Nikhole Lansdown, and Rachael Arnold (husband, Carl Pfranger); 8 adored grandchildren, Anna, Taylor, Garry, Lucas, Amber, Kylin, Abigail, and Trinidy; mother, Patricia Locke; siblings, Cindy O’Neil (husband, Richard), Barbara Amos (husband, Scott), George Locke (wife, Barbara), and Janet Zion (husband, Howard); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and beloved dog, Zoe.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Locke.
