Faye Lockhart

Faye Lorene Lockhart, 87, of Kansas City, MO was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, December 16, 2007 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 20, 2007 at Beaumont Baptist Church, 8319 Independence Ave., Kansas City, MO 64125. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Gideon’s International . Faye was born November 17, 1920 in Center Ridge, AR to Charles and Jocie (Harris) Hansell. She was a member of Beaumont Baptist Church since 1942. Her life was centered around being a witness to God’s word. Faye loved people and was known for always having an encouraging word. Mrs. Lockhart retired from Wilcox Electric before working for Sterling Acres and Agape Preschools. Mrs. Lockhart is survived by her daughter Mary Joyce Fuehring and husband John; son James David Lockhart; grandchildren Brett and Drew Fuehring, Sherri Nash, Julie Carpenter, Michelle and Angela Lockhart; five great-grandchildren; siblings Velma Young, Frances Kistler, Bill Hansell, Ruby Teer, Fred Hansell; by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Lockhart was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence in 1996; and by three brothers.
