Michael Lombardo of Independence, Missouri was surrounded by his family when he passed away on March 11, 2022. Michael grew up in the North End neighborhood of Kansas City and lived most of his life in the Kansas City area. He served in the United States Air Force (1951-1955) and met his red-headed bride, Noel, during that time in Cutbank, Montana. A plumber by trade, he dedicated 44 years of his life to Lexington Plumbing and Heating to support his wife, son, and three daughters. Following his retirement in 1998, Michael lived the rest of his days as a dedicated grandfather and family man. In every chapter of his life, Michael was known for his extraordinary love and commitment to his family. Michael is survived by his wife, Noel Lombardo; Sister, Angie Testa; children Michael Lombardo and spouse Cindy, Jeanne Fail and spouse Mark, Jana Lombardo and spouse Nene, and Jamie Lombardo. He is also survived by his grandchildren Christina, Kate, Toni, Andi, Taz, Jacob, and Carly; and great-grandchildren Ivy, Frankie, Atticus, Ember, and Michael Harry. Visitation will be held at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence Thursday, March 17 at 9:30 followed by a memorial service between 10:30-11:30 a.m. The family requests those who wish to honor Michael’s memory to consider donating to Children’s Mercy Kansas City.
