LaVonne Michelle Loumiet, 59 years of age, May 9, 2023
LaVonne Michelle Hagensen Loumiet was born on January 18, 1964, in Vancouver, Washington, to Jack and Lois Hagensen. After graduating from Hope High School in 1982, she found a calling to serve the children in her community in the Independence School District. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ Living Hope Restoration Branch. Her faith could be seen in every aspect of her life, whether she was attending to her two children, Jennifer and Joshua, listening to religious music, watching “The Chosen”, or making contributions to multiple charities. Giving back to her community meant the world to her. She ran the Ronda Lee Culley Foundation for a time. LaVonne was fluent in Spanish and had a great passion for learning new languages. Whenever she had a spare moment she would use her Duolingo app.
LaVonne is survived by her children, Jennifer (Michael) James and Joshua Loumiet; her father, Jack Hagensen; her brother, Don Hagensen; her sister, Leslie Hagensen; her granddaughter Lilee James; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Hagensen, and stepmother, Laila Hagensen. A visitation will be held at Living Hope Restoration Branch of Jesus Christ on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, beginning at 10:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest in Mound Grove Cemetery.
