Bob Lowden, 77, of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully at home on August 14, 2014. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 18, at Blue Springs Christian Church with burial to follow at Blue Springs Cemetery. Bob was born February 1, 1937. He served our country in the Army for 20 years with two tours in Vietnam and two in Germany, and retired as a Major. After his retirement, he went to Dallas Theological Seminary. Bob pastored two churches in Kansas. He worked at City Center Square for many years, and received his BS at Park College. He then worked as the Care Pastor at East Side Baptist Church. He was the President and founder of AACA-KC Region. Bob was currently a member of Blue Springs Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Ruth Strawn in 2000; first wife, Ruth Ann Lowden in 2001; and son, Jonathan Lowden in 2013. He is survived by his wife, Susan Lowden; son Joshua Ancel and wife Nora; daughters, Nicole Beemont and Julie Gall; grandchildren, Jessica, Melissa, Olivia, Jaiden, Brayden, Connor, Nikolaus and baby Zanye; daughter-in-law, Janice Lowden; four brothers, Bill, Richard, John and Terry Lowden; three sisters, Diana Thurmond, Margaret Koontz and Julie Laney; three sister-in-law’s; three brother-in-law’s; and many nieces, nephews. Bob loved The Lord, he loved studying, teaching and preaching.
