Wayne M. Lower

Wayne M. Lower, of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, January 18, 2004 at Research Medical Center, just six days before his 77th birthday. Services will be 10 am Thursday, January 22nd at Speaks Suburban Chapel; with interment in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 pm at the Chapel. Wayne was born January 24, 1927 in Marceline, MO to Simon and Sadie Lower, one of nine children. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Wayne was a welder at General Motors, Leeds, retiring in 1992 after 29 years of service. He was a member of Independence Avenue Baptist Church and belonged to East Gate Lodge #630. Wayne is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Jo; children, Roger and wife Karen, Micheal and wife Laura, Patty Waddle and husband Bob; grandchildren, Kyle, Kurt, and Kory Lower, Staci Duncan and Austin Lower, A1C Justin Waddle, and Lauren Waddle; brother, Ronald Lower and wife Peggy of Liberty, MO; sisters, Melva Green and husband Glenn of Gladstone, MO, Margie Kornbrust of Marceline, MO.
