Pamela (Hartschen) Lowry, 65, Independence, MO passed away on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013 at Centerpoint Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her mother Idamae Crick of Independence, and mother-in-law Norma Lowry of Petaluma, CA. She leaves behind her husband of forty-five years Ted Lowry and son Kenneth Lowry, both of Independence; daughter Kim Lowry; granddaughter Amber Lowry, both of Gardner, KS and many extended family members and friends
Pam grew up in Independence and was a graduate of East High School’s Class of 1965. In her early twentys she went out west to California. That is where she met and married Ted. The family relocated back to Independence in 1979 and have remained in the area since.
Pam had a strong love for her family and friends. She cared deeply for them all and would do anything she could to help you when you were in need. She never met a stranger. If she sensed that someone was down, she always had a kind word to try to lift your spirits. She gave regularly to several children’s organizations, as well as some that worked with the elderly. Even if she was not always able to help monetarily, she would use her other passion - crafting to help out. She and Ted would make items to donate or sell giving 100% of the proceeds to a particular organization.
Following Pam’s wishes, there will be no service for her. The family asks that you make a donation to the children’s or elderly assistance charity of your choice in Pam’s Honor.
