Sam J. Lucito, Jr., 72, of Independence, MO, passed away, Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at Independence Regional Health Center. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 21, 2004 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial will be in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Friday at the Chapel. Sam was born May 16, 1931 in Kansas City, MO to Sam Joseph and Mary (Shortino) Lucito, Sr. He worked for TRW Inc. for over 30 years until his retirement in 1991. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia (Greer); 2 sons, Timothy Lucito and his wife Sonya of Palm Harbor, FL and John Lucito and his wife Missy of Independence, MO; 2 daughters, Sharon Kassen and her husband Randy and Linda Thompson and her husband Joe all of Independence, MO; his mother, Mary Lucito of Kansas City, MO; 9 grandchildren, Greg McQuade, Todd McQuade, Ryan Kassen, Andrea Thompson, Christopher Thompson, Aaron Thompson, Shawn Ostertag, Kyle Lucito and Joey Lucito; 3 great granddaughters, Aubreanna McQuade, Sidney McQuade and Elizabeth McQuade.
