Martha Ruth Luckenbaugh, 55 of Independence, MO passed away Thu, Jun 24, 2004 at her home. Memorial Services will be held 1:30 pm, Tue. Jun 29, 2004 at the George C. Carson Funeral Home. A private inurnment will be held at a later date. Contributions are suggested to the Independence Dialysis, 1135 S. Clarmont, Independence, MO 64050 or the American Diabetes Association. Martha was born on Jul 13, 1948 to Jess and Betty Carey in Bakersfield, CA and had moved to this area in 1973. She provided private baby-sitting services for many years and was of the Pentecostal faith. Mrs. Luckenbaugh is survived by her husband, Bill Luckenbaugh of Independence, MO. A daughter, Jessica Luckenbaugh of Independence, MO. A stepson, Craig Luckenbaugh of Odessa, MO and a stepdaughter, Tammy Mick of Kansas City, MO. Three Grandchildren, five brothers, Jesse Carey, David Carey, Robert Carey all of Reservoir, NM, James Carey of Ventura, CA and Frank Carey of Tulsa, OK. Two sisters, Joyce Jones of Cottonwood Falls, KS and Judy Baker of Deming, NM.
