William Craig "Bill" Ludwig Jr.

William “Bill” Craig Ludwig, Jr., 50, of Independence, passed away June 7, 2018. A visitation will be held Thursday, June 14th from 4-6pm with a memorial service following at 6:00pm, both at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Bill was born September 6, 1967 in Mason City, IA to William Sr. and Patricia (Smith) Ludwig. He graduated from Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, IA and served proudly in the United States Air Force. Bill was the Director of Security for Research Medical Center in Kansas City for 20 years. He was also known by all as an unwavering Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Bill is survived by his wife, Amy; two sons, William C. Ludwig, III “Trey” and Tanner Ludwig both of Independence, MO; his parents, William and Patricia Ludwig of Independence, IA; brother, Joe Ludwig of Independence, IA; step-son, Parker Zaiser of Grain Valley and a step-daughter, Emerson Goodson of Independence, MO.
