It is with heavy hearts that we announce Lujo Puni Falealii, a beloved son and brother, passed away unexpectedly on February 1, 2024. He was 1 year old.
Born on August 8, 2022, in Tacoma, Washington Lujo faced the world with resilience and an infectious smile. He was a true fighter from the start. Born prematurely at just 26 weeks, Lujo bravely battled through numerous challenges during his time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for five months. His strength and determination were an inspiration to all who followed his journey.
Though his time with us was short-lived Lujo had a unique ability to bring happiness to those around him. He enjoyed observing people's actions and would often break into laughter while mimicking them. He also loved watching cartoons while spending time in his bouncing chair during his daily leg exercises. He would get extra excited when his favorite show Laugh and Learn came on. It provided endless moments of smiling, dancing, and entertainment for Lujo.
His laughter was contagious and could light up any room. It was truly a gift to witness his joyous spirit radiate through his infectious giggles. His smile had the power to touch hearts and brighten even the darkest of days.
