Ann Ada Lukens 95 of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017 at her residence. Services will be 6:00 p.m., Thursday, September 28, 2017 with visitation from 5-6:00 p.m., at the Carson Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Graveside 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 29, 2017 Boone Creek Baptist Cemetery in Licking, MO. Donations may be made in her name to the Boon Creek Baptist Cemetery Association. Ann was born November 19, 1921 in Pawnee City, NE to Harry E. and Bessie (Fleshman) Bodenhamer. She had worked in the accounting department at Colgate Palmolive for a number of years before she retired. She enjoyed going to the casino’s, Painting, playing the organ macramé and crocheting and traveling. She was a member of the O.E.S. chapter in Independence, MO. Survivors include; a son, Harry Lukens and his wife Trisha; 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Stewart Lukens in 1952, her parents, 8 siblings and her son, Thomas L. Lukens, Sr., in 2012. (Arrangements: Carson-Speaks Chapel (816) 252-7900)
