Richard C. Lundquist, 75, of Independence, MO, passed away, Friday, January 23, 2004 at Independence Regional Health Center. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial will be in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Sunday at the chapel. Richard was born March 4, 1928 in Independence, MO to David Gustav and Geneva (Sterrett) Lundquist. He graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1946 and joined the Marine Corps from 1946-48 during WWII, he then attended Graceland College attaining an Associates degree in Arts. He worked as a Sheet Metal Worker for over 36 years retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Coventry Estates Baptist Church and the Sheet Metal Workers Local #2. He was married to T. DeLois Hammontree on February 20, 1953, she survives of the home. Other survivors include; 2 daughters, Sandra Eldridge of Cameron, MO and Beverly Miller of Cottonwood, AZ; a son, Michael Lundquist of Buckner, MO; 2 sisters, Lucille Stumpenhaus of Independence, MO and Reva Munjak of Sugar Creek, MO; 2 brothers, Harold Lundquist and Duane Lundquist both of Independence, MO and 11 grandchildren. Family suggests donations to the Coventry Estates Baptist Church Mission Fund
