Sadie Lundy

Sadie Ellen Lundy, 93 of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011 at her residence. Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m., until service time Wednesday at the chapel. Independence, MO 64050. Sadie was born March 29, 1918 in Milton, FL to Stephen Grover and Martha (Harter) Allen. She enjoyed traveling and had traveled extensively throughout the world including Europe, Asia, England, Australia and many more. She was a member of the New Walnut Park Community of Christ. She had worked for the IRS, she ran her own tax business, worked for a software company and retired as Vice-President of Wasber Industries, L.L.C. in Independence, MO. She was married to Wilson Tate Lundy, Sr. until he passed away on July 29, 1962. She is survived by; a daughter, Martha Jo Lundy of Independence, MO; 4 sons, Wilson T. Lundy, Jr. and his wife Jean of Virginia, Houston Allen Lundy and his wife Estelle of Louisiana, Michael D. Lundy and his wife Jayne and Robert Douglas Lundy both of Independence, MO; a sister, Valeria Woods of Independence, MO; a brother, Carlylse Allen of Texas; 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, family and friends. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, S.G. Allen and Turner Allen.
