Irene M. Lusk

Irene M. Lusk, 92, of Independence, MO passed away, Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at Monterey Park Nursing Facility. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 23, 2003 at St. Paul�s Lutheran Church, 17200 E. 39th St, Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Irene was born April 17, 1911 in Gutherie Center, IA to Carl and Minnie (Immel) Wesack. Irene was baptized June 4, 1911 and confirmed March 26, 1926 at St. John�s Lutheran Church of rural Adair, IA. She was an active member of Walther league and taught rural school. Irene was an active member of St. Paul�s Lutheran Church until her health prohibited her attendance. Mrs. Lusk was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Lusk, in 1979. She is survived by a daughter Myrna Smith of Independence, MO and sons Clark Lusk of Leawood, KS and Franklin Lusk of North Kansas City, MO, 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister Doris Bireline of Exira, IA and a brother Merle Wesack of Adair, IA and a host of nieces and nephews.
