Edward L. "Jack� Lusso
Edward L. "Jack� Lusso, 88, of Independence, died February 25, 2007 at Independence Regional Health Center. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Interment with military honors will follow in Mound Grove Cemetery. Mr. Lusso was born on May 23, 1918 in Preston, Missouri the son of Charles J. and Minnie B. (Miller) Lusso. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Jack worked for the Owens Corning Fiberglass plant for over 25 years. He will be remembered as a quiet man who was a good listener. Jack enjoyed hobby farming and gardening, hunting, fishing and camping. He was a member of the N.R.A. Mr. Lusso married Josephine F. Dennis on December 22, 1945 and recently celebrated 61 years of marriage. She survives. He is also survived by two sons, John Lusso of the home, and Jim E. Lusso and his wife Judy of Sugar Creek, Mo., a brother Don Lusso of Edgerton, Mo., eight grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
