February 10, 1923 — May 13, 2014

Dale Francis Machart, 91, of Independence, MO, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Services will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Avenue, Independence, MO 64052. Burial with full military honors will be in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the chapel. Dale was born February 10, 1923 in Jennings, KS and graduated from Jennings High School in 1941. After graduation, he attended business college in Denver, CO. He was married to Margie Ferrel when they were both 19 years old. Dale served as a sergeant in the US Army during WWII. He went to work as a clerk for the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad in Denver, CO for 43 years until his retirement as a Corporate Officer in the traffic Department. He served many capacities in the RLDS and Restoration churches and was a Patriarch-Evangelist the last 41 years of his life. In 1991 Dale and Margie moved to Independence to be close to their three married daughters. His love for the Lord was evident as he brought ministry to many people individually and collectively in many congregations. Dale was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Margie, as well as two daughters, Rebecca Carrick and Kathleen Machart and a brother Gerald Machart. He is survived by; a daughter, Jeanie Hazelrigg and husband Randy of Independence, MO; son in law, Mark Carrick; 6 grandchildren, Cynthia Chouteau, Lourie Dawson, Justin Carrick, Joshua Carrick, Jacob Carrick and Jessica Turner and 6 great grandchildren, Elli, Ethan, and Emery Chouteau and Olivia, Oliver and Victoria Kathleen Dawson and one niece, Kelli Archuleta and one great nephew, Austin Archuleta.
