Blaize Alyxander Madrid-Evans

June 2, 1999 — September 15, 2021

Beloved son, brother, fiancé, officer and friend, Blaize Alyxander Madrid-Evans, ended his watch far too soon on Wednesday, September 15th 2021. He was 22. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 23rd from 5-8pm at the Community of Christ Auditorium in Independence, MO. A service will be held Friday, September 24th, also at the Auditorium; 1001 W Walnut St, Independence, MO 64050. A mask or a face covering will be required for admittance.

Blaize was born in North Kansas City on June 2, 1999. He graduated from Smithville High School in 2018 and began his employment with American Medical Response (AMR) where he faithfully served his community as an Emergency Responder for almost 2 years.

On July 8th of 2021, he graduated from the Police Academy and began his career with the Independence Police Department.

Blaize will be remembered as an avid coffee drinker, voracious eater, notorious refrigerator-peeker, man of fashion who loved playing computer games and putting Siracha on everything. He was also known as sweet, kind, respectful and loving. He was a warm presence in the room. His family, friends, fellow officers, and community has lost a bright and energetic, sacrificial servant who will be greatly missed.

Blaize leaves behind his Mama, Shannon Evans, with Step-mom, Sharon Braley; his Sister, Jordyn Evans; his Fiancée, Victoria Atkinson; Mom, Machelle Madrid; Grandparents; Gary and Frances Evans; Grandfather, Gill Madrid; Uncle, Clint Evans with Ben Keeton; Aunt, Monica Blair; Uncle, Mark Madrid; Cousin, Morgan Blair; and his beloved Staffordshire terrier, Archie.
