Edward A. Maglich

Edward A. Maglich, 78 of Sugar Creek, MO passed away Fri. Feb 3, 2006 at Independence Regional Health Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, Tue. Feb. 7, 2006 at St. Cyril�s Catholic Church. 11231 E. Chicago, Sugar Creek, MO. Burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30 - 8:00 pm, Monday at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave, Indep. MO, with the Rosary being said at 6:30 pm. Contributions are suggested to Sugar Creek Citizen�s Civic Relief Fund. Mr. Maglich was born on Nov. 28, 1927 to John and Mary Maglich in Sugar Creek, MO and was a lifelong area resident. He had been an Electrical Technician with Kansas City Power and Light retiring in 1985. Edward was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially doing various activities with his grandchildren whom he cherished and often spoiled. He had been a coach for various baseball teams including the only Sugar Creek Baseball team to win the City Championship from Missouri and Kansas. Edward was an active member of St. Cyril�s Catholic Church and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Maglich was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Joe Maglich in 1988. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Virginia Maglich of Sugar Creek, MO. Three sons, Terry Maglich and wife Susan of Columbia, MO; John Maglich and wife Marian of Independence, MO and David Maglich and wife Shalich of Kansas City, MO. Two daughters, Anne Angotti of Independence and Jacky Bakken and husband Shane of Blue Springs. Seven grandchildren, Christopher, Ryan, Anthony, Jaclyn, John-Michael, Alaina and Audrey. One brother, Andy Maglich of Sugar Creek and a sister, Josie Bruson of Colorado Springs, CO.
