Gary L. Maglinger, 73 of Independence, MO passed away Friday, January 31, 2020 at his residence. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at the Grace Bible Church, 900 N. Bly Rd., Independence, MO 64056 with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends from 3-7:00 p.m., Monday, February 3, 2020 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Box 97251 Washington, DC 20090-7251. Gary was born August 15, 1946 in Providence, KY to Harold Lee and Amelia Geneva (Bruce) Maglinger. He had worked as a graphic artist for the Nazarene Publishing House and Honeywell Manufacturing before he retired in 1985. He was very artistic and enjoyed making things. He was an active member of Grace Bible Church. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Donna Maglinger of the home; 3 sons, Rob Maglinger and wife Rachel of Omaha, NE, Ryan Maglinger and wife Christine of Newburg, IN and Randy Maglinger and wife Jessica of Independence, MO; 4 sisters, Janice Starkey and husband Ralph of Flower Mound, TX, Charlotte Wilson and husband Richard of Evansville, IN, Maurita Wills and husband David and Gayla Clark and husband Richard all of Newburg, IN and 8 grandchildren, Roman, Ryland, Landon, Grant, Grace, Greenlee, Greta and Gray. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Sadie in 2008.
