Charles B. Magruder

Charles B. Magruder, 77, of Independence, MO, passed away Monday, July 9, 2007 at his home. Services will be 9:00 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2007 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel. Graveside services 1:30 p.m. Friday in Hopewell Cemetery in Barnett, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Charles was born June 21, 1930 in Brunswick, MO to Byron and Nina (Stoner) Magruder. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Post #21, and was a Mason in the Brunswick, MO Lodge. Family was the most important aspect in his life. He loved his family dearly. Mr. Magruder is survived by his son Dwayne C. Magruder and wife Jolene, daughter Rise Stephenson and husband Chuck; grandchildren Brendon and Gavin Magruder, Candice and Cassie Stephenson; brother Wayne, sister Ruth; close friend Lenora Jecker. Charles was preceded in death by his wife Nadine (Koerner) Magruder in 1988
