Evon B. Malone, 93, Independence, MO passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014.
Evon was born December 12, 1920 in Evergreen, AL. the daughter of Lonnie Lee and Susan Annie (Tolbert) Booker. She married Alfred “Russell” Malone on November 30, 1940. He preceded her in death in 1968.
Survivors include her sister, Ruth O. Booker of Independence, MO; children, Rita Warren, Independence, MO, Melody Cobb (Charles), Sibley, MO, and Mark Malone (Karen) of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Russ Warren, Gretchen Kern, Hunter “Kyle” Malone, Taylor Cobb, and Tanner Malone; great grandchildren, Colton, Jack, Ashton, Jayce, Ireland, and Breck.
Graveside inurnment will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 10, 2014 at Mound Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Groves Community Hospice; 15600 Woods Chapel Road, Ste. A, Kansas City, MO 64139.
