William Roger “Bill” Mandeville, Jr. of Independence, MO, a big guy with a big heart who helped anyone, passed away on December 1, 2021. He was 58 years old. Bill was born on August 9, 1963 in Rockford, Illinois, to William Roger Mandeville, Sr., and Anna Mandeville. He graduated from Pecatonica High School in the class of 1981. On May 3, 1986, he married the love of his life, Barbara Durham in Blue Springs, MO. To this union three children were born: Tori, Dennis and William. He was a great husband, father, son, brother, uncle and grandfather. Bill always put his family first and was extremely family oriented. For over 40 dedicated years, he worked for numerous HVAC companies. Bill was a proud Boy Scout for 12 years and became Troop Leader of Troop 209. He was an outgoing man who never met a stranger. He loved hunting, fishing, and just about anything outdoors. Bill will always be remembered for making anyone and everyone feel like family, as he was truly one of a kind, and he will be deeply missed by many. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Barbara “Kathy” Mandeville; children, Tori Lynn Smith (Joseph), Dennis Eugene Bowen (Elaina Elizabeth Huffmaster), and William Roger Mandeville (Angela); grandchildren, Eric, Arianna, Nadia, Denny, Billy, Sammy and Chloe; mother, Anna Mandeville; siblings, Vickie Klinger (Earl), and Sue Montgomery (Tim); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William Roger Mandeville, Sr. A visitation to honor Bill will be held on Monday, December 6, from 12:30-2:30 p.m., with a funeral service to follow, at 2:30 p.m., both at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th. St. in Independence, MO. The funeral will be livestreamed via Speaks Chapels page for those who would like to virtually attend his service. Bill will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens in Independence, MO.
