June (Brown) Mansfield, 76, of Independence, MO passed away Monday, January 05, 2004 at St. Mary�s Hospital of Blue Springs. Services will be 10 am Saturday, January 10th at Speaks Suburban Chapel; with interment in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 9 am until service time. The family requests no flowers, and suggests contributions to the Shrine Crippled Children Hospital in St. Louis, in care of the Ararat Temple. June was born May 2, 1927 in Kansas City, MO and lived most of her life in Independence. She had retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. in 1978 after 32 years of service. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers (EMKCA Club), Daughters of the Nile, Ladies Oriental Shrine, Social Order of the Beaucent, Past President of the Shrinette Bowling League, and the First United Methodist Church of North Kansas City. June is survived by her daughter, Janice Mercer of Independence, MO; step-son, Harvey Mansfield of Kansas City, MO; grandson, Thornton Phister and wife Erin of Laguna Niguel, CA; great niece, Paula and husband David Marshall; great great nephew, Jesse Marshall; numerous step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren.
