Karen Ann Marcks

Karen Ann Marcks, 54, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2019. There will be a private family visitation. A public graveside service will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 11:30am at Ebenezer United Church of Christ Cemetery, Bone Hill Road, in Levasy, MO. Karen was born in Potosi, MO and graduated from Fort Osage High School in Independence, MO. Karen had a zest for life, never shying away from the next adventure. She loved people and always put others ahead of herself. She adored her beloved service dog, Chloe. Chloe provided Karen with unconditional love and companionship, and she misses her mom immensely. Karen was extremely talented musically, excelling in voice, flute and piano. She had the innate ability to go after a skill or talent and become proficient at it, in a short amount of time. Karen is survived by her husband, Geir Brose; mother, Helen Marcks; brother, Keith (Cathie) Marcks; 2 nephews; 3 nieces; and her aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by father, Marvin Marcks; both sets of grandparents; one aunt; and one uncle. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Infinity Hospice Care; they were absolutely Angels for Karen in her last week. Jacqueline, Geno, Linda and the rest of their staff were amazing. So sweet, and caring....just amazing!
