Mark Allen Fields, 63, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023, as a result of a tragic accident.  A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends to share their remembrances on Saturday, December 30, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Whispering Meadows Clubhouse, 4455 S. Mark was born Aug. 6, 1960.  He was a lifelong resident of Independence, Mo., and graduated from Truman High School.  He earned the rank of Eagle Scout, which began a love of the outdoors and camping.  Mark could fix anything, and this made him a valued employee of Temp Stop for many years.  He was an avid car enthusiast-- building cars and attending car shows were some of his favorite activities.

Mark and Collett were married in 1995 and celebrated 28 wonderful years. They enjoyed traveling and camping together.   He was a devoted “Papa” to his two grandchildren, enjoying every moment he could share with them, including several trips to Disney World, Branson, and camping.

Survivors include his wife Collett, daughter Courtney Strong (Kade), grandchildren Reece and Graham Strong, his father Bill Fields, his brother Kevin Fields (Jill), nephews and niece Wyatt, Ethan, and Josie Fields.  He was predeceased by his mother Donna Fields.
