Jeffery Alan Markley, 43, of Blue Springs, MO passed away May 5, 2005. A memorial service will be 5 pm Saturday, May 14th at New Hope Church, Independence. Contributions are suggested to the Childhood Language Disorders Clinic c/o Scottish Rite, Kansas City, MO. Jeff grew up in Independence, MO where he attended public school. He left high school at an early age and joined the Army National Guard. Jeff did his training in Ft. Dix, NJ and was with the service for many years when he decided to start his family. Jeff was honorably discharged as a Specialist for division 1-5 second platoon in November 1994. He was married in 1990 to Theresa where to this union one child was born, and two children adopted. When Jeff was called home, he was working for Shaw Industries, where he had been a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed his job or as they say, his second family. With an easy smile, a hearty laugh, and a twinkle in his eye he embraced and enjoyed life and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He leaves to cherish his memory; his mother, Linda Hickey (Ron), father, Dale Markley; maternal grandparents, Harold and Julia Whitehead; sisters, Kim Iqbal (Nader), Angie Gentry (Haywood); brother, Don Caswell (Hesper); three loving children, Kaitlyn, Jacob, and Sarah Markley; a wonderful grandson, Gavin; half sisters, Una Ketchum (Jimmy), and Beth Markley; half brothers, Danny Savage and Josh Markley; stepbrothers, Ron Hickey (Kandi) and James Hickey (Tammy); and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and other relatives. Though Jeff will be missed very much, come not to mourn his departure, but to celebrate his new life in the presence of the Lord.
