JOHN RAGEN MARRS III
John Marrs III, 18, of Sugar Creek, MO, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 5, 2016 from 5:00-8:00pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. A service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at the chapel.
John entered this world on April 7, 1998 in Overland Park, KS. Even at an early age, John was full of life and had the kindest of hearts. He was a member of the Sugar Creek Explorers, broadcaster for tapssports.com and part of the William Chrisman Ace Club from 2012-2016. He graduated from William Chrisman in 2016. John was currently attending Blue River Community College and volunteered with Sugar Creek Police and Fire Departments. He was such a giver and truly enjoyed community projects, especially service to the elderly. William Chrisman even honored John as being their 2016 Prom King.
Left behind to remember and honor his legacy are his mother Carla Marrs (Pittman) of the home; father John R. Marrs, Jr. of Kansas City, MO; maternal grandmother Carolyn Pittman; paternal grandparents John R. and Minnie Marrs, Linda McDaniel; great-grandfather Harry Hughes; many aunts, uncles, cousins and an ocean of friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Carl Pittman.
