Ricky Marrs

Ricky Rea Marrs, 13, of Oak Grove, MO passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 21, 2003 while assisting at the Independence Hammers baseball camp. Visitation will be 6-8pm Tuesday June 24, 2003 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. A graveside service will be 10:00 am Wednesday June 25, 2003 at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Ricky was born August 7, 1989 in Independence, MO to Randy and Lori (Hart) Marrs. Ricky was a member of Sycamore Hills Baptist Church and active in the church youth group. He had recently completed 7th grade where he was a student at Grain Valley Middle School. Ricky was a member of the school band playing the tuba and trombone. He was a Junior Coach with the Independence Hammers baseball team. Survivors include his father Randy Marrs of the home, his mother Lori (Hart) Marrs of Blue Springs, MO, brother Ryan Marrs of the home, sister Sabrina Boley of Blue Springs,MO and a foster sister Kari Boardman of Blue Springs. Also surviving are his grandmother Phyllis Marrs of Independence, MO, grandfather Cecil Hart of Rogersville, TN, grandmother Virginia Hart of Las Vegas, NV, uncles Rodney Marrs of Independence, MO, Russell Hart and Randy Hart, both of Minneapolis, MN, and a host of cousins and many friends.
