Daniel Marsh Sr

October 24, 1949 — July 13, 2016

Daniel Eugene Marsh Sr., 66 years old, of Lee’s Summit, MO, went to his home in the sky with his Lord and Savior and was reunited with loved ones who have gone before while at home surrounded by his family on 7/13/2016. Dan was born October 24, 1949, in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Northeast High School, Kansas City, in 1967. Dan was a proud Air Force Vietnam Veteran. He graduated from Columbia School of Broadcasting. He was an electrical engineer for the Santa Fe Railroad and retired from Unity Village. Dan was one of the founders of MoKan in 1987. He and Kathy began Gentle Hearts in 1993. Dan also served as Executive Vice President of CGMA since 1999. He was an ordained evangelist through Anchor Bay Evangelistic Association. His heart was to serve and he did that throughout the years at each church that he attended, lastly as a member of Life Christian Center. Dan’s life was all about family, music, baseball, and drumming, always drumming. He was survived by his wife of the home, Kathy, children Rhondalyn (Glen) Smith, Sherri Schroeder, Sheila (Jason) Harper, Daniel Marsh Jr, Nikki (Darryl) McCormick, Stacy (Tom) Wood, Brian (Mandy) McCarty, 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, his mother, Bobbie Clifton, 3 brothers, 1 sister, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his fathers, Virgil Marsh and Albert Clifton, 1 sister, 1 son-in-law, and 1 granddaughter.

Visitation will be on Sunday, July 17, from 6 to 8 pm. The funeral Service will be Monday, July 18, 9 am. Both to be held at Heart of God Fellowship, Buckner, MO. Graveside service following at Brighton Cemetery, Brighton, MO.

Donations can be made to a memorial fund setup in Dan’s name at Life Christian Center, 1650 E Langsford Rd, Lee’s Summit, MO, 64063.
