JULIE ELIZABETH MARSHALL
Julie E. Marshall passed from this earth into God's hands Friday afternoon, September 29, 2006. Julie lost her second fight with cancer after a year and a half long courageous battle. She was the winner of the first fight at the age of 10. Julie battled this illness through her last year of college at the University of Missouri KC to graduate May 6, 2006, receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. "Oh how she loved the thought of being a teacher." Julie, this beautiful child was born May 14, 1982 to William and Mary Marshall, lived all her short life in Independence, MO. She was loved by many and liked by all for her caring sweet personality and genuine interest in people. The joy to know Julie was always enhanced by her beautiful smile. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Julie's enjoyments in life were down to earth. She was an avid reader and writer, excellent at hand made jewelry, her friends and family were always pleased to receive something Julie had made especially for them. She enjoyed the outdoors when it involved swimming, boating and fishing with her family. Julie is survived by her parents, William and Mary Marshall and aunts and uncles: Bernard and Kendra Dietrich, Wesley and Marlene Godfrey, Jim and Marti Dietrich, Bud and Donna Brumley. Cousins: Johnny Godfrey, David Dietrich, Jimmy Dietrich, Steven Dietrich, Tommy Godfrey, Diane Wilhoit, Rodney Brumley and Allison Henrick. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at Nativity of Mary Church, 10017 E. 36th Terrace, Indep., MO 64052, with visitation from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at Nativity of Mary Church. Internment at Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery.
