Alex F. Martell

Alex F. Martell, Sr., 93 of Independence, MO passed away June 27, 2003 at the Medical Center of Independence. Services 10 am Monday at St. Mary�s Catholic Church, Independence, MO with visitation 4-6 pm Sunday at George C. Carson & sons Funeral Home. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Raytown, MO. Contributions to St. Mary�s Catholic Church. Mr. Martell had lived in the Kansas City area where he was a barber in one location on the south side for over fifty years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. The son of Michael and Catherine Martell he was born September 29, 1909 in St. Mary�s KS. He was married to Albertine Siebert Martell for sixty-one years and she preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a son, Robert. Survivors include a son, Alex Martell Jr., and his wife Kathryn, Indianapolis, IN., daughter-in-law, Mary Martell, Fremont, CA., seven grandchildren and six-great grandchildren.
