Connie Lee Martin

Connie Martin, 69, of Independence, MO passed away May 20, 2019. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Graveside services will be 10am Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Connie was born on January 28, 1950 in Kansas City, MO to Harold and Ella (Steele) Martin. For the past 10 years she has been employed with Homeland Security. She had also retired from MDA after 30 years of service. Connie enjoyed fishing, watching movies, and was a big reader. Family was always the most important thing in Connie’s life and her world revolved around them. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was greatly loved and will forever missed. Survivors include; son Kevin Martin and his wife Taffany; Grandson Kevin James Martin and Kyle Lee Martin; great granddaughter Ryle Ann Martin; sisters Elaine Dale and Becky Martin; brother Richard Martin; extended family and friends. Connie is preceded in death by her parents and a sister Mary Martin. Contributions may be made to ASPCA or American Cancer in Connie’s memory.
