Geneva M. Martin

Geneva M. Martin, 84, of Independence, MO passed away, Friday, June 16, 2006 at the St. Luke�s East Hospital in Lee�s Summit, MO. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m., until service time at the chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Kansas City, KS. Geneva was born June 6, 1922 in Kansas City, KS to Lloyd and Laurel (Hallier) Hawkins and has been a lifelong area resident. She had worked as a telephone operator for a number of years. She was a member of the E. 39th Street Congregation of the Community of Christ Church. Geneva was married to Clarence Martin in 1942, he passed away in 1993. She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Fox and her husband Bruce of Blue Springs, MO; a son Charles Martin and his wife Pia of Dallas, TX; a sister, Dorothy Self and her husband Charles of Independence, MO; 3 grandchildren, Mike Fox, Keri Fox and Stacy Newbold and 4 great grandchildren.
