She worked for the classified ads department at the Kansas City Star, where she retired after 40 years of employment. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Raytown, and enjoyed spending her time with the Sunday school classes. She loved her husband, Edward Sr., with all of her heart. He was her first and only sweetheart. Her children, Ed and Connie, were two bright stars in her eyes. She loved Connies sense of humor and Edwards sense of stability. They each gave her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved and enjoyed. They filled a void in her life after Ed Sr. died. Peggy also cherished her many close friends, who were like her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Edward Eugene Martin, Sr.; one daughter, Connie Jeanneret; three sisters; and one brother. She is survived by her son, Edward E. Martin and wife Wanda; three granddaughters, Tracy Jeanneret; Mickey Valverde and Carrie Jeanneret; two grandsons, Jacob and Jared Martin; and four great-grandchildren.
