Raymond Martin

Raymond Martin, 63, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Thursday, September 4, 2008 at his home, surrounded by his girls after a courageous battle with cancer. A visitation will be from 7-9:00 PM Tuesday, Sept. 9 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. A service will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday at the chapel with burial at Mound Grove Cemetery.
Raymond was born January 20, 1945 in Liberal, KS to Robert and Beverly (Fager) Martin. Following graduation, he joined the U.S. Navy, serving his country as an electronics technician for 20 years before retiring in November of 1983 as a Chief Petty Officer. He then began working as a field service technician for Varian where he has been since 1985. Raymond is an honorable, responsible, man of his word, who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Raymond is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sandra (Sellers) Martin; daughters: Cynthia Rae Martin, Vicki Sue Winter and fiancé Robert McKeone, and Sarah Beth Martin; grandchildren: Stormi Martin and Jason McClendon; siblings: Betty Kaye Wichert and husband Cecil, Karen West and husband Ron, and Robert Martin and wife Cheryl; and a host of extended family, friends, and neighbors. His family would like to thank everyone who helped take care of Raymond and them through this difficult time
