Robert L. Martin

Robert L. Martin, 79, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, October 7, 2005. Services will be 10 am Thursday, October 13th at Carson-Speaks Chapel, (1501 W. Lexington Ave. Indep. MO), with interment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at the Chapel. Robert was born July 25, 1926 in Parkville, MO to Harry and Marie Martin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WW II. Robert worked for CF Downey Box in North Kansas City, and retired as a foreman with Packaging Corporation of America in Kansas City, KS. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Debra Frazee; brother, Herbert Martin; sister, Hazel Grove; and is survived by his wife of 59 years, Denna Lee Martin; son, Dennis Martin of Independence, MO; grandchildren, Roseanna Duffy, Christina Martin, Angelique Harrison, Anessa Harrison, Scott Martin, Chad Martin; eight great grandchildren; brothers, Bennie Joe Martin of Parkville, MO, Harry A. "Junior� Martin of Riverside, MO, Earl R. Martin of Kansas City, MO; many nieces and nephews.
