Mary Margaret Bradley, 85 of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024 at the Villages of Jackson Creek. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 7, 2024 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Thursday at the chapel. The family suggests donation in her name to Agape Hospice. Mary was born August 9, 1939 in Windsor, MO to Walton and Margaret (Botts) Elbert and spent her early life in Windsor and graduated from Windsor High School. She and Irvin grew up together in Windsor and were high school sweethearts. They married and moved to Independence in 1958 and enjoyed 53 years of marriage until his passing on September 12, 2011. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker. She was a daycare provider and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Mary was a member of the Sterling Acres Baptist Church currently known as Rivers Edge Fellowship. Survivors include; 3 daughters, Susan Bradley, Sally Gibson and husband Don and Sarah Bradley all of Independence, MO; a son, Dennis Bradley of Warsaw, MO; 3 grandchildren, Daniel Bradley (Lauren), Allison Perez (Adam) and Andrew Gibson (Kayla) and 5 great grandchildren, Breya, Elliott, Noah, Samuel and Rachel and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
